[True Jesus Church] The Truth Of The Spiritual Church

Greetings to brothers and sisters in Malawi, we are very happy to share with you the truth about the church. This truth is very important, because many people don’t understand the truth of the church today, which leads to many people’s own thoughts coming out. We hope this sermon article can help everyone understand the truth and understand what the church is.

1. The church is spiritual.

God is the spirit, Jesus Christ is the spirit, and the church belongs to Jesus Christ, so the church must be spiritual. What is spiritual? Spiritual means that the church comes from God, not from people; and the church should be recognized by Jesus, not rely on the recognition from an organization or individual person.

The Origin of the Church: It is purchased by the blood of Jesus and established by the Holy Spirit. It is the body of Jesus Christ.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. (Acts 20:28)

clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. (II Corinthians 3:3)

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body. (John 2:19-21)

The head of the church is Jesus Christ, and there is no class system in the church. The general as-sembly of church is in heaven, not on the ground. True Jesus Church has a general assembly in heav-en, sending the Holy Spirit, sending workers, prosper the gospel, and establish a church.

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, (Hebrews 12:22-23)

2. There is difference among church, sect, chapel, worship location and church organization.

(1) The church: There is only one church. It is the ark of salvation, the wife of the Lamb, the bride of Jesus, the mother of all livings, the pillar and foundation of truth, the redeemed by the blood of Jesus. It is sealed by the Holy Spirit to prove that it is God’s. All are the church’s, the church is Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come - all are yours, you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s. (I Corinthians 3:21-23)

(2) Sect: There are tens of thousands of sects. Sect comes from people, is division and trickery of man. There is no gospel and truth in sect. Sect is not church although it calls itself church. The teaching from sect is not gospel although it says it preaches gospel. It leads people to perdition, blocks the door of heaven, and is a male goat, not following the will of the Father. Its ending is to mourn in the darkness, and to perish with the devil.

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my breth-ren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” (I Corinthians 1:10-12)

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Gala-tians 1:6-9)

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the right-eous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:31-33,41-43,45-46)

(3) Chapel: It is an architecture which is used for worship. People can worship God in it. Chapel be-longs to material thing. It will decay after a long time and it needs to be refurbished or rebuilt. When Jesus comes again, the elements will melt with fervent heat and all chapels will be melt together as well. However, the church is in incorruption, and will be caught up to the heaven when Jesus comes again.

(4) Place of gathering: It is a place for gathering. Any place can be used to gather together, in wilderness, at home, at rivers, on mountains, streets, in shopping malls and etc. Jesus preached in the wilderness. Chapel is also a place of gathering. As long as there are two or three people, they can find a place to have the gathering for worship.

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19-20)

On the Sabbath day, Paul gathered and kept Sabbath at the river:

And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there. (Acts 16:13)

(5) Church organization: It is an organization from people. In essence, it is the same as sect. It doesn’t understand the truth of the church and is infused with people’s own thoughts. It uses the meth-ods of the world to manage the church, but not relies on the Holy Spirit to lead and not magnifies the Lord. It fights for power and it doesn’t serve people as a servant.

Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.” And He said to them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glo-ry.” ……And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John. But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:35-37,41-45)

3. The church is the pillar and foundation of truth

but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (I Timothy 3:15)

Only in the church there is the truth, and the truth is in the church. There is no truth in sects, church organizations, and people's own thoughts. God builds the church on the earth and the truth is in the church. God uses the church to preach the truth. People can hear the truth and gos-pel only from the church. So it’s said in the Bible:

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “ Lord , who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:14-17)

However, it doesn’t mean that everyone understands the truth although the truth is in the church. God uses the apostles and prophets to preach the truth in the church, so that people can under-stand the truth and receive the Holy Spirit. After receiving the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is in us, that is, the truth dwells in us. The Holy Spirit helps us to distinguish what is right and what is wrong, and the Holy Spirit will guide and build everyone by Himself. The Lord Jesus said:

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authori-ty, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (John 16:12-13)

Being able to understand the truth and preach the truth is not because of a certain role in the church, such as elders and deacons, but because of spiritual gifts of being apostles and prophets preaching the truth. People will believe the truth as long as they believe what the apostles and prophets preached. In the contrary, people won’t believe the truth if they don’t believe what the apostles and prophets preached.

having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, (Ephesians 2:20)

4. The name of the Church of God is True Jesus Church.

As mentioned above, there is only one church in God, and all things belong to the church. People should become church then will be saved. Also, Abraham is church, Isaac, Jacob, and the prophets and many Israelites in Old Testament is church. The Holy Spirit built the church in the era of apostle, but the name of the church was not revealed at that time. Nowadays, the name of the only true Church is revealed by God because there’re many heretical sects. Bible tells us the name of the church of God:

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. (Revelation 3:12)

The name of the church must have the name of God, the name of the city of God, and the new name of God. Jesus is the true vine, the truth, the true light. Truth is true Jesus.

The name of God is Jesus. The name of the city of God is True Jesus Church. The new name of God is True Jesus.

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. (John 15:1)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the

Father except through Me. (John 14:6)

So the name of the church is revealed, that is “True Jesus Church”.

”True Jesus Church" - God is true, Jesus is the mediator between God and man in the middle, and the church is man.

True God is the head of Jesus, and Jesus is the head of the church. This name is not from the people, but from the Holy Spirit. This is the name that God set for His church.

The name of “True Jesus Church” is extremely important and cannot be changed.

5. About the International Assembly of True Jesus Church and some people who do not understand the truth

The International Assembly of “True Jesus Church” is a private organization that does not understand the truth of faith. Setting the righteousness of man is just abolishing the righteousness of God. Hope they will repent and rectify, and believe in the gospel and truth preached from True Jesus Church based on faith. Hope they will study Bible well, not to cross the teachings of Christ, not be like an ignorant Jew who has enthusiasm but no real knowledge and who wants to work hard for Jesus but becomes a person who kicks Jesus with his feet.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. (Romans 10:2-3)

While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. (Acts 26:12-15)

We cannot resist the truth in all things, we can only obey the truth and help the truth. In this way God will be with us, let us be the loyal and good servant of the Lord Jesus, and be able to go to heaven for the great feast prepared by Jesus Christ to us. Glory be to Jesus, Hallelujah, Amen!
